American Classroom Readiness

Prepare international students for success

Setting the Stage for Success

The American Classroom Readiness Course helps your students gain the confidence and skills needed to be successful; helping them overcome culture shock, understand academic integrity, meet their classmates, and become prepared to effectively participate in the American classroom before arriving on campus.
"Easily the most prepared international students we've had come to our program."

Assistant Director

How the ACR
Course Works

Two to three months before international students arrive on campus, they begin interacting with their peers and with English3 instructors in activities specifically targeted to help students overcome common pitfalls and to help them truly find success in their American experience. This experience includes:

      • Understand and prepare for culture shock

      • Experience a fast-paced English-speaking environment

      • Practice working in groups and giving presentations

      • Communicate with and meet their future classmates

      • Academic integrity instruction

      • And much more…
